Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” ~ Matthew 28:18-20
After a general election, many reasons exist for God’s people to hold fast to the eternal hope we have in Christ. We may mourn the passage of constitutional initiatives and other policies diminishing respect for the sacredness of human life. At the same time, we must recognize that our mission has not changed. We are still called to be ambassadors here on this earth (2nd Corinthians 5:20-21). We are still called to confess the truth that all authority on heaven and earth belongs to our Messiah. We are still called to take the good news of His redeeming grace to all people. We are still called to teach and disciple them according to the Word of God. We are still called to be a people of prayer, and especially a people who prays earnestly for those in authority and for those with whom we disagree (1st Timothy 2:1-2). Now more than ever, the world desperately needs the people of God to shine truth and carry the heart of Jesus to the culture. We hope you will join us in keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus as we run with endurance the race He has marked out for us (Hebrews 12:1-2).
In that spirit, we have some exciting news to share that we hope will equip you and generations to come to be mighty contenders for the faith.
